About the site

This site is dedicated to all the amazing women in history whose stories have been lost or twisted by the patriarchal society they lived in. I started this is to create more accessible and easy to understand biographies of women who held power. Each season will be of a specific timeperiod or theme and each women will be placed roughly in chronolical order. However, there will frequently be a lot of overlap in stories and it will not always be linear. The goal is for each post to focus on one person's story while fitting them into the larger story of the season.

I am a recent college graduate and not a professional historian. This site is more of a passion project and I always welcome advice, questions, or suggestions. Feel free to send me a message :)

The History Chicks

Two women. Half the population. Several thousand years of history. About an hour.

Where any resemblance to a boring old history lesson is totally coincidental.
